Vintage Edgemaster fatjack maroon & green swirl switchblade knife was made by the Federal Knife Co of Providence, RI in the late 1940s, or early 50s and was designated the model #102. The knife measures 4 1/8 inches closed and 6 7/8 inches open with brass liners, steel button & lanyard ring and nickel silver safety & pins. The clip blade is 99% full and shiny with some very light scratches and is marked Edgemaster in script over USA on the tang. The attractive multi shade Maroon & Green swirl synthetic scales are in excellent condition with slight shrinkage and no cracks. The knife works well with the blade tip seating deep and centered, good snap and excellent lockup with less than 1/16" up and down at the tip. Barely rattles if shaken with blade open. Very nice working example of a vintage American fatjack switchblade. Safety works. EX- condition.
