Edgemaster fishtail with Olive green synthetic scales made by the Federal Knife Co of Providence, RI in the late 40s, or early 1950s. This knife was designated the model #301 and measures 4 inches closed and 7 1/8" open with brass liners. The blade is nearly full and shiny and is stamped Edgemaster USA. The Olive green scales are in great condition with minimal shrinkage. The knife functions good with blade tip seating deep, good snap and locks open with some movement each way with approx 1/4" up and down. The knife does rattle if shaken when open as most of these old 50s American switchblades do that have been used over the years. The safety works.
