Early SCHRADE CUT CO Large Double Tortoise Spear blade vintage automatic knife made in Walden, NY sometime between 1910 and 1916 or so, pattern # 7504S. The knife measures 3 3/4 inches closed and 8 1/16 inches open with brass liners and nickel silver buttons, safeties and pins. It is a Spear/pen blade combo and both blades are 98% full, or better and shiny with light scratches and have been lightly cleaned. Large blade is stamped SCHRADE CUT CO WALDEN, NY and the small blade is stamped US PATS FEB 13, 06 & FEB 26, 07, SEPT 13, 10 on the tang. The Tortoise celluloid scales are very attractive with no cracks, but there are some very light scratches and handling marks. The knife works well with large blade tip below the liners closed and small blade tip just above the liners, both open fully and both lock open with movement at the tips. Small blade locks tight and the large blade is extra loose and the knife does rattle if shaken with blades open. Both safeties work. VG+ condition
