E WECK & SON NEW YORK double Ivory celluloid switchblade knife. This knife was made under contract by the Schrade Cutlery Co of Walden NY in the early 1900s for E. Weck & Son Co of New York and is one of at least three different models of switchblade knives made for that company by Schrade. This is the medium double and measures 3 3/8" closed and 7 1/8" open with brass liners. The larger blade is stamped E. WECK & SON NEW YORK and the smaller blade stamped US PATS over DEC 21, 09, SEPT 13, 10 and JUNE 6, 16. Both blades are nearly full and retain much of the original factory finish with some light scratches and a little light pitting. Very nice overall. The scales (handles) are Ivory celluloid and are in excellent condition. The knife works well with both blade tips below the liners closed, good snap and very good lockup. The small blade has strong kickback, but locks up well when in the open position. Both safeties work. EX- condition.
