Vintage Russian RPK (Russian Prison Knife) switchblade. These knives were made by inmates of Russian prisons back in the 1960s and 70s to be sold to raise capital for the prisons. They were all hand made and very unique and beautiful pieces of Russian cutlery Folk Art. This knife measures 15cm (6 inches) open with steel liners and carbon steel blade. I believe the blade to be nearly full and it has been sharpened poorly. It is shaped to represent a dragon and the teeth serve as bottle openers. Very colorful hand painted liners covered with clear acrylic. The knife works well with the blade tip seating deep in the well when closed, smooth snap and average lockup when open with a little movement each way at the tip. Has a hole on the end to attach a ring for keychain. Very cool vintage Russian RPK Dragon switchblade.
