This listing is for one of the New Old Stock switchblade knives found in a warehouse in Mexico in 2020. The knives were mostly Japanese and Italian switchblades from the late 1950s and had been forgotten in storage in Mexico for about 60 years! This neat little Japanese lever has bone scales and brass bolsters and lever. It measures 3 5/8 inches closed and 6 3/8 inches open with steel liners. These knives still has some of the original wax paper wrap on them that they were wrapped in from the factory in the late 50s. There is some light rust from being stored in an old warehouse for 60 years, but not bad. These have not been opened since they left the factory in Japan in the 1950s! The one's that I've tried that weren't still wrapped opened well. A couple needed a couple of drops of oil. May not get the actual knife pictured here, but it will be the exact same knife, from the 2020 Mexico find with same markings and at least some of the original wax paper. Great piece of switchblade history! Comes with laminated certificate of authenticity.
