z Custom KABAR GRIZZLY Inspired 11 inch automatic knife by Samir Ahmad

Custom KABAR GRIZZLY Inspired  11 inch automatic knife  with wood scales by Samir Ahmad, a second generation knife maker. This knife was inspired by the Ka-bar large Grizzly knife made in the USA between 1920 and 1950 and was constructed as a "test knife" before making another, more refined version. Therefore it doesn't have the top notch fit and finish that Samir's knives usually have, but it definitely has it's own special charm and works well. I thought someone would enjoy having it. The knife measures 10 11/16 inches open and 6 3/8 inches closed with steel liners, bolsters & button. The hollow ground saber clip blade is a nice full profile with a satin finish and no markings. The scales (handles) are dark wood and in very good condition. The knife works well with blade tip even with the liners closed, good snap and good lockup with some movement each way at the tip. Rattles if shaken with blade open. Again, not typical work by Samir, but it was only a rough prototype. Very COOL for what it is. EX condition.
