Custom 29cm Custom Damascus Bird Head Backspring release automatic knife by Samir Ahmad. Beautiful Custom switchblade with Damascus saber hollow ground blade and streaked horn scales. The knife measures 28.5 cm (11.25 inches) open and 6 1/8 inches closed with 440C steel liners, Bird beak bolsters and steel release button. The saber ground Damascus blade is very attractive and 100% full with no identifying markings. The handles (scales) are black horn with light colored streaks and in very nice condition. Backspring release to close blade by lifting the protruding knob notched into the top bolster. Very nice file work on the backspring (backstrap). Prioletta style button opens the knife with a strong snap, when pressed. This knife really works great with blade tip deep and centered when closed, strong snap and Tight lockup open. Proudly made by a 2nd generation cutler who cares about his craft. Sliding safety near bottom bolster works, but is a little loose.
