Vintage Snappy keychain switchblade knife made by the Colonial Knife Co of Providence, RI in the early 1950s. You can tell it's an early one by the small domed button and bolsters and I refer to these small button Snappys with bolsters as 2nd generation knives made between 1950 and 1955. The knife measures 2.5 inches closed and 4 3/8 inches open with brass liners, steel button and nickel silver safety. The saber ground clip blade was originally stamped SNAPPY COLONIAL PROV USA, but due to use and wear you can only make out USA. It was designated the model #1600CB. The blade is 98% full and is dark with patina and has scratches and spotting. The white synthetic scales are in good condition with minimal shrinkage and in black letters on the back scale it says: Loyal Order of Moose 929 Shinnston, WV. The knife works well with the blade tip just above liners closed, good snap and fair lock up with less than 1/8" of movement at the tip. Safety works. Good condition.
