Vintage Snappy keychain switchblade knife made by the Colonial Knife Co of Providence, RI in the early 1950s. You can tell it's an early one by the small domed button and bolsters. The blade is clearly stamped SNAPPY COLONIAL PROV USA and it was designated the model #1600CB. The knife measures 2.5 inches closed and 4 3/8 inches open with brass liners, steel button and nickel silver safety. The saber grind clip blade is full and retains most of the original factory finish. The front scale is lighter colored caramel swirl and the back is more of a rootbeer and they are in very good condition with no cracks, or chips with minimal shrinkage. The knife works great with the blade tip seating deep, good snap and locks up with about 1/16' up and down at the tip. This is a very nice example. Safety works. EX+ condition.
