Colonial SHUR SNAP Stubby fatjack Brown swirl vintage switchblade knife
Colonial SHUR SNAP Stubby fatjack Brown swirl vintage switchblade knife
Vintage Colonial SHUR-SNAP Stubby Fatjack automatic knife made by the Colonial Knife Co of Providence, RI in the mid to late 1950s was designated the model #2200B. It measures 4 1/8 inches closed and 7 1/8 inches open with brass liners and steel bolsters, safety & button. The blade is nearly full with sharpening marks and light scratches and is stamped SHUR-SNAP COLONIAL PROV USA, though it's partially obstructed by the liners. The scales are Brown swirl and are in good condition with just a little shrinkage and some scuffed areas on the back scale, but not bad. The knife works great with the blade tip even with liners when closed, opens well and good lockup with just a little up and down and side to side movement at the tip. Does rattle if shaken with blade open as most of these do that have seen use over the years. Safety works. This knife is in VG+ condition.
