Vintage Colonial SHUR SNAP Jumbo jack switchblade knife made by the Colonial Knife Co of Providence, RI in the late 1950s. This knife is the largest switchblade made by Colonial measuring 5 inches closed and just under 8.75 inches open with brass liners. The Saber grind fish scaler carbon steel blade is stamped SHUR-SNAP COLONIAL USA and is 90% full with heavy patina and some pitting, but overall a fair blade. The Rootbeer swirl synthetic scales have some shrinkage at the bottom, as most do, but are in Good shape with no cracks just some marks from handling over the years. Works well with blade tip seating even with the liners closed, good snap and fair lockup with approx 1/4" up and down at the tip. Safety works. G+ condition.
