Colonial SHUR SNAP JUMBO jack Maroon Burgundy switchblade knife
Colonial SHUR SNAP JUMBO jack Maroon Burgundy switchblade knife
Vintage Colonial SHUR SNAP Jumbo jack switchblade knife made by the Colonial Knife Co of Providence, RI in the late 1950s. This knife is the largest switchblade made by Colonial measuring 5 inches closed and 8.75 inches open with brass liners. The blade is stamped SHUR-SNAP COLONIAL USA and is 100% full with all of the original factory finish still intact with some very light scratches. The scale color is maroon (burgundy) synthetic scales that have some shrinkage at the bottom and edges, as most do and are very attractive and in great shape otherwise. Works well with blade tip seating deep in the well, good snap and very good lockup with 1/16" up and down at the tip. May be as tight as it was when it left the factory since many of these did not lock up tight when they were made. Safety works great. EX+ condition.
