Vintage Shur Snap switchblade with yellow synthetic scales. The knife was made by the Colonial Knife Co of Providence, RI in the late 1950s, likely 1956-58 and designated the model 1800B. It is New Old Stock from a find in Kansas about 20 years ago where a suitcase was found in a house about to be demolished that contained nearly 100 of these vintage SHUR SNAP knives as well as an original display card with the 12 original knives still inctact! The knife measures 4 inches closed and 7.25 inches open and has brass liners and steel bolsters and safety and aluminum button. The tang is stamped SHUR SNAP over Colonial over PROV USA, but the stamp is very faint as it often seen on these late 50s knives. We can tell it's a later 4th gen knife by the large domed button. The blade is 100% full and shiny with factory finish intact. The bright yellow colored synthetic scales are in excellent condition with slight shrinkage. Operates well with blade tip sitting deep when closed, good snap and good lockup with just a little up and down at the tip. Safety works. EX+ condition. 100% money back guarantee including return shipping if you're not happy with this knife.
