This is an early second generation Colonial Shur Snap fishtail switchblade made in Providence, RI between 1950-1954. Lack of bolsters and small domed button indicate that time period. These knives were very popular with sportsmen and high school kids ;^) This one measures 4" closed and 7 3/16" open with brass liners, steel button and nickel silver safety. Synthetic yellow scales are in good condition with a little shrinkage and a crack at the bottom of the back scale. The saber grind blade is about 98% full and has just a little loss from sharpening and shiny with light parallel scratches and some peppering. Knife works fine with blade tip below the liners closed, good snap and good lockup with about 1/8" up and down at the tip and a little side to side when open. Safety works. VG+ condition.
