Vintage COLONIAL SHUR SNAP Fishtail Caramel Early 2nd Generation switchblade knife made by the Colonial Knife Co of Providence, RI in the early 1950s. You can tell it's 2nd gen because of the small domed button and no bolsters. The blade is 98% full with much of the factory finish and is stamped SHUR-SNAP COLONIAL, PROV USA and has some sharpening scratches and some light pitting. The Caramel colored synthetic scales are in very good condition with a little shrinkage along the edges and the front scale is a little lighter in color than the back one. Knife works well with blade tip below liners closed, good snap and good lockup with less than 1/8" movement at the tip. Rattles slightly if shaken with blade open. Safety works. VG+ condition
