Vintage Shur Snap bowtie fishtail switchblade with Black imitation stag synthetic scales. This knife was made by the Colonial Knife Co of Providence, RI in the late 1950s, likely 1956-58 and designated the model 1800CB. It measures 4 inches closed and 7.25 inches open and has steel liners, bolsters and safety and Aluminum button. The saber grind blade is full with the original factory finish with very light scratches and the tang is stamped SHUR SNAP over Colonial over PROV USA. The Black synthetic (imitation stag) scales are in nice condition with just a little shrinkage at the bottom/back. Operates well with blade tip sitting deep closed, good snap and excellent lockup with just a hint of up and down at the tip. Does not rattle if shaken with blade open. Safety works. EX+ condition.
