COLONIAL SHUR-SNAP Fishtail 1st Gen Coffee & Cream swirl switchblade knife
COLONIAL SHUR-SNAP Fishtail 1st Gen Coffee & Cream swirl switchblade knife
Vintage COLONIAL SHUR SNAP Fishtail Coffee & Cream swirl Early 1st Generation switchblade knife made by the Colonial Knife Co of Providence, RI in the late 1940s designated the model 1800B. You can tell it's 1st gen because of the small flat button and no bolsters. The blade is mostly full and shiny with flat grind front and saber grind back, likely front was ground flat. Was originally stamped SHUR-SNAP COLONIAL, PROV USA but can only read part of COLONIAL and PROV USA. The coffee & cream swirl synthetic scales are in very good condition with a little shrinkage along the edges and very attractive. Knife works well with blade tip deep in the well closed, good snap and fair lockup with about 1/4" up and down movement at the tip. Rattles if shaken with blade open. Safety works. G+ condition
