Vintage COLONIAL SHUR SNAP Fishtail Blue Purple & White swirl early 1st Generation switchblade knife made by the Colonial Knife Co of Providence, RI in the late 1940s designated the model 1800B. You can tell it's 1st gen because of the small flat button and no bolsters. The Saber grind blade is 99% full and shiny with light scratches and some tiny pit spots. The tang is stamped SHUR-SNAP COLONIAL, PROV USA, nice clean stamp. The Blue Purple & White swirl synthetic scales are in excellent condition with a bit of shrinkage along the edges and very attractive. Knife works well with blade tip below the liners closed, good snap and excellent lockup with just a bit of movement at the tip. Does not rattle if shaken with blade open. Safety works. EX condition
