Colonial Knife Co made Shur Snap bowtie switchblade model# 1800CBX. This is an early model made before 1955 in Providence, RI. We can date it by the characteristics of small domed button. The blade is stamped SHUR-SNAP COLONIAL PROV USA. This knife measures 4 inches closed and 7.25 inches open with brass liners, steel bolsters and button and nickel silver safety. The blade is full and shiny with the original factory finish intact. The scales are Barber shop Red/white striped and are in excellent condition with minimal shrinkage on the sides. The knife works well, tip deep & centered in the well, good snap and good lockup with about 1/8" up and down at the tip. This is original factory painted scales. Barely rattles if shaken when open. Safety works. EX condition.
