Vintage Colonial SHUR-SNAP Cigar Jack Cranberry swirl saber clip blade automatic knife from late 1940s or early 50s. It was made by the Colonial Knife Co of Providence, RI it was designated the model #1700 BX and measures 3 3/8 inches closed and 6 inches open with brass liners, steel bolsters & button and nickel silver safety. The saber grind clip blade is 99% full with the original factory finish intact with some light scratches from use and is stamped SHUR-SNAP COLONIAL PROV USA. The Cranberry swirl synthetic scales are in nice condition with just a little shrinkage on the edges. The knife works well with blade tip below the liners closed, good snap and average lockup with about 1/8" movement at the tip. Barely rattles if shaken when open. Safety works.
