Vintage Shur Snap bowtie switchblade with rootbeer brown synthetic scales. The knife was made by the Colonial Knife Co of Providence, RI in the late 1950s, likely 1956-58. It measures 4 inches closed and 7.25 inches open and has brass liners and steel bolsters & safety with a brass button. The tang is stamped SHUR SNAP over Colonial over PROV USA, but it's a weak factory stamp. We can tell it's a later 4th gen knife by the large domed button. The bayonet style blade is 100% full with original factory finish! The rootbeer brown synthetic scales are in good condition with some shrinkage at the bottom. Operates well with blade tip sitting deep closed, good snap and average lockup for a used Shur Snap with about 1/8 inch up and down and some side to side at the tip  . The knife does rattle if shaken. Safety works. EX+ condition.
