This is a Shur Snap bowtie switchblade with yellow synthetic scales. The knife was made by the Colonial Knife Co of Providence, RI in the late 1950s, likely 1956-58. It measures 4 inches closed and 7.25 inches open and has brass liners. The tang is stamped SHUR SNAP over Colonial over PROV USA. We can tell it's a later 4th gen knife by the large domed button. The blade is mostly full and has a lot of light scratches, but good blade overall. The scales are in good condition with some shrinkage and some orange color variation on the rear scale. Operates well with blade tip sitting deep closed, good snap and average lockup for a used Shur Snap with approx 1/4 inch up and down at the tip and some side to side. The knife does rattle if shaken. Safety works.
