Colonial SHUR SNAP Bowtie Yellow 4th Gen Vintage switchblade

Colonial SHUR SNAP Bowtie Yellow 4th Generation vintage switchblade knife with yellow synthetic scales made by the Colonial Knife Co of Providence, RI in the late 1950s. It measures 4 inches closed and 7.25 inches open and has brass liners, steel bolsters & safety and aluminum domed button. The tang is stamped SHUR SNAP over Colonial over PROV USA. We can tell it's a later 4th gen knife by the large domed button. The blade is 100% full with original finish with some light scratches and light spotting. The pale yellow scales are in good condition with slight shrinkage and a couple of orange spots on the rear scale. Knife works well with blade tip sitting deep closed, good snap and good lockup with about 1/16 inch up and down at the tip and a bit of side to side. The knife does rattle if shaken. Safety works.
