This is a Shur Snap bowtie switchblade with white synthetic scales. The knife was made by the Colonial Knife Co of Providence, RI in the late 1950s, likely 1956-58. It measures 4 inches closed and 7.25 inches open and has steel liners. The tang is stamped SHUR SNAP over Colonial over PROV USA. We can tell it's a later 4th gen knife by the large domed button. The blade is mostly full and has some light scratches, light patina and a bit of peppering, but good blade overall. The scales are in VG condition with no shrinkage. There is a light red streak on the back scale Operates well with blade tip deep closed, opens fully, but a little slow, and average lockup for these with some movement each way when open. Rattles if shaken when open as many of these do. Safety does not work.
