Colonial SHUR-SNAP Bowtie Burgundy early switchblade knife

Colonial Knife Co Shur-Snap bowtie switchblade. This is an early model made before 1955 in Providence, RI and designated the model 1800CB. We can date it by the characteristics of small domed button and bolsters. This knife measures 4 inches closed and 7.25 inches open with brass liners. The blade is nearly full with heavy patina and spotting. The scales are burgundy swirl plastic and in very good condition with some shrinkage near the bottom on each side as most of these do. The knife works well with tip even with liners, good snap and good lockup! Safety does work. VG- condition.
