Vintage Shur Snap NOS bowtie (fishtail with finger guards) switchblade with Rare Green swirl synthetic scales. The knife was made by the Colonial Knife Co of Providence, RI in the early 1950s, likely 1952-55 and designated the model #1800CB. It measures 4 inches closed and 7.25 inches open and has brass liners and steel bolsters & button with nickel silver safety. The tang is stamped SHUR SNAP over COLONIAL over PROV USA. We can tell it's a 3rd generation knife by the small domed button and bolsters. Carbon Steel Saber grind blade is 98% full or better with original finish. The Green swirl synthetic scales are very hard to find and in nice condition. The knife works well with blade tip sitting below liners closed, opens fully with good lockup with less than 1/16" up & down at the tip. Does not rattle if shaken with blade open. Safety works. EX- condition.
