Vintage COLONIAL SHUR SNAP Fishtail Blue & Purple swirl early 1st Generation switchblade knife made by the Colonial Knife Co of Providence, RI in the late 1940s & designated the model 1800B. You can tell it's 1st gen because of the small flat button and no bolsters. The shiny flat grind clip blade is 100% full with original finish with a little light spotting. The tang is stamped SHUR-SNAP COLONIAL, PROV USA, nice clean stamp. The Blue & Purple swirl synthetic scales are in excellent condition with a bit of shrinkage along the edges and very attractive. Knife works well with blade tip deep & centered closed, good snap and excellent lockup with just a hint of movement at the tip. Safety works. EX+ condition
