Vintage Colonial PRONTO fatjack switchblade with White synthetic scales which are actually not very common. The knife was made by the Colonial Knife Co of Providence, RI around 1950 and was only made for about 2 years until they changed the name stamped on this model from PRONTO to SHUR SNAP. This knife measures 4 1/8 inches closed and 7 1/8 inches open with brass liners, steel button & lanyard ring and nickel silver safety. The blade is 100% full with original factory finish and is stamped PRONTO COLONIAL PROV USA. The white scales are in very good condition with just a little shrinkage and the back scale has some hints of pink in spots. The knife works great with blade tip seating Deep and centered, strong snap and excellent lockup with less than 1/16" up an down at the tip open. Does NOT rattle if shaken when open. The safety does not work properly as many did not when new. EX++ condition.
