CAMPOBOSSO 22cm Italian Picklock Brass & Horn 1940s vintage automatic knife

Vintage CAMPOBOSSO 22cm Italian Picklock Brass & Horn automatic knife made in Italy in the 1940s. This knife measures 22.2cm (8 11/16 inches) open and 4 3/4 inches closed with steel liners and brass bolsters, button and safety cap. The bayonet style blade is 98% full or better with patina, light scratches and light spotting and is stamped CAMPOBOSSO on the face of the blade below the spine. The scales (handles) are dark horn with some brown streaks and in very good condition with some wear from the safety sliding and are held on with steel pins. The knife works well with blade tip well below liners closed, strong snap and excellent lockup open with less than 1/16" movement at the tip. Does rattle if shaken with blade open, as most of these nearly 100 year old switchblades do. Safety works. VG+ condition.
