z CAMILLUS vintage MC1 Orange paratrooper automatic knife with hook blade

Camillus MC1 US Government issue paratrooper switchblade knife. These knives were made by Camillus for the US Government for approximately 50 years starting in the early 1960s. They were primarily issued to military personnel especially paratroopers. Some were also used by NASA and other government branches. The hook blade is manual and was typically left open during a jump for quick access in case of parachute emergency with the knife attached to the jumpsuit by a cord tied to the lanyard ring.

This knife measures 4 1/4 inches closed and 7 3/8" with automatic open clip blade with steel liners and brass button & safety. The clip blade is stamped CAMILLUS NEW YORK USA on the tang and is 100% full a few light scratches on the original finish. The hook blade is like new and manually opened. Orange handles (scales) are in great condition, bright color later 4 pins and no shrinkage. Works well with blade tip below the liners when closed, good snap and excellent lockup with Just a hint of movement. No rattle if shaken with blade open. Safety works. EX+ condition.
