C JUL HERBERTZ IMPORT 23cm Italian Stag Transitional Swivel bolster switchblade

Vintage C JUL HERBERTZ IMPORT 23cm Italian Stag Transitional Swivel bolster switchblade knife. Most likely made in the 1960s or early 70s this knife measures 22.9cm (9 1/16 inches) open with D Stamped brass liners, nickel silver bolsters, button & safety cap. The flat swedge blade is 100% full and shiny with a few light scratches. The ricasso is stamped C JUL HERBERTZ IMPORT and the reverse is stamped Inox in cursive. Genuine stag scales have a lot of character and are in excellent condition. Knife works well with blade tip seated deep and centered in the well closed, strong snap and TIGHT lockup. Push down on right front finger guard to pivot (swivel) the bolster to release the blade so it can be closed. This knife was from the group of NOS knives found recently in Italy, but it looks like it may have seen a little light use. Possibly a "shop knife" used by the cutlers? Safety works. EX+ condition
