C JUL HERBERTZ IMPORT 21cm Italian Trapdoor OTF Vintage All metal Aluminum automatic knife made in Italy in the 1960s. These switchblades have been very rare in the collecting community over the past 50 years, especially the all metal ones like this knife. It measures  21.1cm (8 5/16 inches) open and 4.75 inches closed with aluminum checkered frame and nickel silver button and safety cap. The blade is 100% full with the original finish with some faint scratches and the ricasso is stamped C JUL HERBERTZ IMPORT and the reverse is marked PATENT ROSTFREI . The checkered aluminum handles are in excellent condition. The knife works great with the blade opening fully and locks when the button is pressed. Press button again to release blade to fall back into the knife and reset (cock) the blade using the hinged trapdoor which on this knife is on the left side though most were hinged on the right side.
