C JUL HERBERTZ 22cm 1960s Italian Trapdoor OTF switchblade knife

Vintage 1960s Italian trapdoor switchblade. This knife is part of a group of these knives that was found in an old workshop in Italy a couple of years ago. These switchblades have been very rare in the collecting community over the past 50 years so this find will give the opportunity to many collectors to own one of these knives who would likely never have had that opportunity before. The knife measures 21.3cm (8 3/8 inches) open with nickel silver bolsters, button and safety cap. The flat swedge grind blade is full with original finish and some light scratches and it stamped C JUL HERBERTZ over IMPORT on the ricasso and the backside is stamped ROSTFREI. The Buffalo horn scales are gorgeous translucent light green & cream to black and are in very good condition with one hairline crack near the button. The knife functions great with the blade opening fully when the button is pressed. Press the button again to release the blade from locked open position to be closed and cocked into firing position with the hinged trapdoor. Red dot safety works. EX condition.
