C. Jul Herbertz 21cm OTF Italian trapdoor flush button NOS switchblade vintage 1960s

This is a New Old Stock 1960s Italian Trapdoor OTF flush button switchblade. Highly sought after knife! Some of these knives were found in an old knife shop in Italy a couple of years ago after sitting in storage for around 60 years. This is one of those knives and it's gorgeous! The oval button is flush with the scale and it actually rocks. You push on the bottom of the button to open the knife and the top of the button to release the blade to close. The final bit is done with the trapdoor lever that you use to cock the knife back into the firing position.

The knife measures 5 inches closed and 21cm  (8.25 inches) open with nickel silver plated brass bolsters & button with steel trapdoor. The flat swedge blade is 100% full with original finish and ricasso is marked C.JUL Herbertz IMPORT on the front and PATENT over ROSTFREI on the backside. The scales are Faux Horn synthetic mostly black with white & tan streaks and are in great condition. The knife works just as it should, though the button is a little stiff when opening.
