C JUL HERBERTZ 21cm 1960s Italian Trapdoor OTF switchblade knife NOS

Vintage New Old Stock 1960s C Jul Herbertz 21cm Italian trapdoor switchblade knife likely made by Rosa Uliana Primo in Italy. This knife is part of a group of vintage trapdoors that was found in an old workshop in Italy years ago. These switchblades have been very rare in the collecting community over the past 60 years so this find will give the opportunity to many collectors to own one of these knives who would likely never have had that opportunity before. The knife measures 21.2cm (8.25 inches) open and 4 13/16 inches closed with nickel silver plated bolsters, button and safety cap. The flat swedge grind blade is 99% full with original finish and some light scratches and it stamped C JUL HERBERTZ over IMPORT on the ricasso and the backside is stamped PATENT ROSTFREI and the very tip is blunted slightly. The Brazilian horn scales are gorgeous with three or more colors including Brown, tan and black and are in excellent condition with red dot safety. The knife functions great with the blade opening fully when the button is pressed. Press the button again to release the blade from locked open position to be closed and cocked into firing position with the hinged trapdoor. Red dot safety works. NOS EX condition.
