C JUL HERBERTZ 21cm 1960s Italian Trapdoor OTF Red dot switchblade knife

Vintage C Jul Herbertz 21cm Italian trapdoor switchblade knife made in Italy in the 1960s. These trapdoors have been very hard to find and I've seen them sell for $1500 or more over the years. The knife measures 21.1cm (8.25 inches) open and 4.75 inches closed with nickel silver plated brass bolsters &, button and missing the safety cap. The flat swedge grind blade is 99% full or better with original finish and some light scratches from opening and it stamped C JUL HERBERTZ over IMPORT on the ricasso and the backside is stamped PATENT ROSTFREI. The horn scales are in very good condition with one bug bite on the back scale at the bottom. The both scales are mostly black with brown and white streaking and has a Red Dot safety. The knife functions great with the blade opening fully and locking when the button is pressed. Press the button again to release the blade from locked open position to be closed and cocked into firing position with the hinged trapdoor. Red dot safety works. EX condition.
