Vintage Bullfighter lever knife made in Japan for the Mexican tourist trade between the late 1950s and into the 1970s. These were very popular with tourists and were made in three different sizes with different blade shapes, different colors and some variations on the scenes. A lot of fun to collect. This knife is the most common size measuring 19cm (7 3/8 inches) open with steel liners and brass bolsters, lever and lanyard ring. The Bayonet style blade blade is shiny and nearly full & is marked STAINLESS STEEL with some light scratches. White background with gold dragon on the front and bullfighter/ Matador scene on the back covered in clear acrylic and in great condition. The knife works well with the blade tip deep and centered in the well closed, opens fully and good lockup open with little movement each way at the tip when open, but does not rattle if shaken. Overall a nice example of a very cool vintage white Mexican souvenir automatic lever knife with less common bayonet blade. EX- condition.
