Bullfighter Dragon 19cm Mexican White & Gold Vintage Lever souvenir knife made in Japan for the Mexican tourist trade between the late 1950s and through the 1970s. These were very popular with tourists and were made in three different sizes with different blade shapes, different colors and some variations on the scenes. A lot of fun to collect. This knife has white background with a Gold dragon on the front and bullfighter (matador) on the rear. The knife measures 4 1/8" closed and 18.5cm 7 3/8 inches open with steel liners and brass bolsters and lever. It has the less-common bayonet style blade that has been sharpened a little. The blade is about 95% full and is marked STAINLESS STEEL. The scales are in nice condition, but missing about 1/8" across below the front top bolster. The knife works well with the blade tip below liner closed, opens fully and locks with about 3/16" up and down movement at the tip that bounces back when you let go. VG+ condition.
