This is a Bullfighter lever knife made in Japan for the Mexican tourist trade between the late 1950s and into the 1970s. These were very popular with tourists and were made in three different sizes with different blade shapes, different colors and some variations on the scenes. A lot of fun to collect. This knife is smaller than most measuring 14cm (5.5 inches) open with steel liners and brass bolsters, lever and lanyard ring. This is also a less common light blue color background. The blade is approximately 94% full and is marked STAINLESS. The knife works well with the blade tip a hair above liner closed, opens fully and locks tight. Beautiful little rare color and size Japanese bullfighter in VG+ condition.
