BEGON INOX MODELE DEPOSE 24cm French Swing Guard Black checkered automatic knife

Vintage BEGON INOX 24cm French MODELE DEPOSE Swing Guard Black checkered handled  automatic lockback knife most likely made in the 1960s or 70s in France. The knife measures 23.8cm (9 3/8 inches) open and 5 1/8 inches closed with brass liners, nickel silver bolsters, guards & safety with steel button. The flat swedge grind blade is 99% full or better and shiny with original blade finish and a few very light scratches and the ricasso is marked BEGON INOX on the front and MODELE DEPOSE on the backside with oval locking hole drilled through the blade. The black checkered synthetic scales are in excellent condition. The knife works well with blade tip well below liners closed, good snap and TIGHT lockup open. Does not rattle if shaken open except for the guards. Safety works. EX+ condition.
