Vintage BEGON INOX 24cm French MODELE DEPOSE Swing Guard Black checkered handled automatic knife most likely made in the 1960s or 70s in France. The knife measures 23.8cm (9 7/16 inches) open and 5 1/8 inches closed with brass liners and nickel silver, bolsters, guards & safety with steel button. The flat swedge grind blade is 100% full and shiny with original blade finish and some light scratches and the ricasso is marked BEGON INOX on the front and MODELE DEPOSE on the backside. The black checkered synthetic scales are in very good condition with some scratches & scuffs, mostly on the front scale. The knife works well with blade tip well below liners closed, Strong snap and tight lockup. Does not rattle if shaken open except for the guards. Safety works. EX condition.
