BEGON INOX MODELE DEPOSE 24cm French Swing Guard Black checkered automatic knife

Vintage BEGON INOX 24cm French MODEL DEPOSE Swing Guard Black checkered handled automatic knife most likely made in the 1960s or 70s in France. The knife measures 23.8cm (9.4 inches) open and 5 1/8 inches closed with steel liners, bolsters, guards & button with brass safety. The flat swedge grind blade is 100% full and shiny with original blade finish and some light scratches and the ricasso is marked BEGON INOX on the front and MODEL DEPOSE on the backside. The black checkered synthetic scales are in excellent condition. The knife works well with blade tip well below liners closed, good snap and very good lockup open with a hint of movement each way at the tip. Does not rattle if shaken open. Safety works. EX+ condition.
