B.T.FS THIERS INOX Lizard 22cm Italian Lockback Ram's horn vintage automatic knife

Vintage B.T.FS THIERS INOX Lizard (gecko) 22cm Italian Lockback Ram's horn automatic knife made in the 1960s or 70s in Italy for export to France. These are not very common knives in this style and size and the Lizard stamp was used by Tarry Levigne French importer. The knife measures 21.5cm (8.5 inches) open and 4 5/8 inches closed with D stamped brass liners and nickel silver button and safety cap. The flat swedge blade is 98% full, or better with light patina and light scratches and the ricasso is stamped B.T.FS THEIRS with the picture of a lizard (gecko) between and the reverse is stamped INOX. The genuine Ram's horn scales are very attractive and in very nice condition, but not original to the knife. The knife works well with the blade tip below the liners closed, opens strong and good lockup with extra up and down at the tip that springs back when you let go. No rattle if shaken with blade open. This is a lockback so you press the backspring in the half moon cutout to release the blade to be closed. open. Safety works. VG condition.
