Colonial SHUR-SNAP fishtail early brown swirl

Colonial Knife Co Shur Snap fishtail switchblade. This is an early 2nd generation knife made before 1955 in Providence, RI, model 1800B. We can date it by the characteristics of small domed button and bolsters. This knife measures 4 inches closed and 7.25 inches open with brass liners. The blade is nearly full with patina, scratches and some spotting, but good overall. The scales are brown/tan with light swirls and are in good condition with no shrinkage and only show some signs of light handling. The knife works well with blade tip deep when closed, good snap and average lockup for a knife like this that has seen use over the past 70 years. Some movement each way with about 1/4 inch up and down, but it does lock and safety does work.
