Edgemaster bowtie switchblade made in the late 40s, or early 1950s. This knife was made by the Federal Knife Co of Providence, RI and it measures 4 inches closed and 7 1/8" open with brass liners. The blade is nearly full, retains most of the factory finish and is stamped Edgemaster USA. The metal scales are in good condition with a couple of little dings on the bolsters near the blade. They may have been painted originally, but no trace of paint left if so. The knife functions good with blade tip seating deep, good snap and locks open with some movement each way with approx 1/2" up and down. The knife does rattle if shaken when open as most of these old 50s American switchblades do that have been used over the years. The safety does work.
