Antique Flylock Letter Opener Black waterfall celluloid switchblade office tool/knife from the 1920s made by the Flylock Knife Co of Bridgeport, CT and was designated the model # 1122LO. It measures 10.75 inches with the blade open and just over 8.75 inches when it's closed with brass liners and nickel silver button. The blade is 98% full or better with light patina, spotting and some light scratches. Blade is stamped Flylock REG US PAT OFF on the front and FLYLOCK KNIFE CO B'PORT CONN on the rear tang. The black waterfall celluloid synthetic scales are in very good condition with a small chunk missing on the top of the front scale. Works well with blade tip well below liners closed, good snap and very good lockup with less than 1/16" movement at the tip. Does rattle if shaken when open. These old letter opener switchblades are fun to collect and display well. Good working example of a 100 year old switchblade letter opener knife. VG+ condition.
