Schrade Cut Co 3 3/8" double Marine Pearl Celluloid Bohnenkamp Co etched
This knife was made by the Schrade Cutlery Co of Walden, NY sometime between 1916 and 1946. This knife was designated the 7404M with Marine Pearl celluloid scales and brass liners. It has two blades that are each activated by pressing one of two buttons (one on each side). The knife measures 3 3/8" closed and 7 1/8" with both blades open. The knife has seen light use over the years but both blades are nearly full. The large blade has an acid etch "BOHNENKAMP CO" which is pretty clear and shows that the knife has had very little use over the years because these etches were very fragile and easily worn off.
The knife works well with both blades seated well closed, both open fully when buttons are pressed and both lock open well. The scales are beautiful and in good condition with one tiny hairline crack by the center pin on the front. Great old knife in very good condition.
