Remington R8065 Candystripe double switchblade vintage

This is a Remington double switchblade with replacement candystripe celluloid scales (handles) made by the George Schrade Knife Co of Bridgeport, CT in the late 1930s, early 40s. It was designated the model R8065. The original scales likely broke or gassed and they were professionally replaced with similar candystripe celluloid scales. The knife measures 3 3/8 inches closed and 7 inches with both blades open. The blades both have loss from sharpening, scratches, patina and pitting. Both blades are stamped Remington. The knife works well with neither blade peeking, both open well and good lockup open. Still has the original copper beryllium spring. Good condition overall.
