z Colonial Shur Snap Fishtail yellow early 1950s switchblade

This is an early second generation Colonial Shur Snap fishtail switchblade made in Providence, RI between 1950-1954. Lack of bolsters and small domed button indicate that time period. These knives were very popular with sportsmen and high school kids ;^) This one measures 4" closed and 7 1/8" open with brass liners. Synthetic yellow scales are in vg condition. The blade has some loss from sharpening and looks to have been buffed a bit as well as some other minor flaws. Knife works fine with blade tip deep in the well closed, good snap and good lockup.
